Mr. Akhter Matin Chaudhury FCA, FCS

Mr. Akhter Matin Chaudhury, FCA, FCS, is a seasoned professional with a career spanning more than 50 years, contributing extensively to the financial and corporate sectors in Bangladesh and abroad. Born on February 2, 1951, in Dhaka, he graduated with a major in Economics in 1971 from the University of Karachi and began his professional journey with Rowland Neville & Co., London, UK, qualifying there as a Chartered Accountant.

He is a Life Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He is also a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). Currently a Partner at MABS & J Partners, Mr. Chaudhury has held leadership roles, such as Chairman and Managing Director of Nuvista Pharma Limited, Managing Director of Organon (Bangladesh) Limited and Board Director at BOC Bangladesh Limited. His international experience includes a decade of executive and managerial roles, notably as Executive Director of an international investment management company in the UK.

Mr. Chaudhury’s extensive Board experience includes his current role as Independent Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, where he chairs the Audit Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee, and his previous role as Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of a large Bank. He is also an Advisor to the Board of a large local company and a nominated Director on the Boards of two others.
